Privacy Policy — Bucketeer

Last updated: August 2026

Overview

Bucketeer ("the App") is an S3 file browser that connects directly to your Amazon S3 buckets. The App does not collect, store, or share any personal information with us or any third parties.

Data We Do NOT Collect

AWS Credentials

Your AWS credentials (Access Key ID, Secret Access Key, bucket name, and region) are stored securely on your device using the iOS Keychain and shared App Group container. Credentials are used solely to authenticate requests directly to Amazon S3 from your device. They are never sent to any server other than AWS.

Data Communication

The App communicates directly with Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 endpoints to list, upload, download, and manage objects in your bucket. All requests go directly from your device to AWS. See the AWS Privacy Policy.

Local Data Storage

This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to any party other than AWS as described above.

Files App Integration

The App provides a FileProvider extension so you can access your S3 bucket from the iOS Files app. This extension uses the same credentials stored locally and communicates directly with AWS.

Photo Library Access

The App may request access to your photo library when you choose to upload photos. Photos are uploaded directly to your S3 bucket and are not sent anywhere else.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
